EMS (Electronic Muscle Stimulation)

The device is non-invasive, safe and painless, with no need for recovery period after the treatment. Muscles account for about 35% of the body and most slimming devices on the market only focus on fat.

EMS machine uses high-intensity focused magnetic resonance and focused unipolar radio frequency technology to train muscles and permanently destroy fat cells. The focus of magnetic vibration energy stimulates motor neurons to continuously expand and contract muscles to achieve high frequency extreme training. While the radio frequency of 40.68mhz releases heat to heat and burn fat, heating muscles at the same time to increase the contraction force, double stimulation of muscle proliferation, and improve the body’s blood circulation and metabolic rate, while maintaining a comfortable temperature sense during the course of treatment. It combines two types of energy deep into the muscle and fat layers, strengthening muscle, firming skin and burning fat for a perfect triple effect.

This type of contraction cannot be achieved by your usual exercise or fit exercise. 30 minutes of use with the EMS machine is equivalent to 30000 times of muscle contraction, so that you can easily lie down to build muscles and reduce fat.

This diagram is a before, during and after of the muscles using EMS machine.

Along with muscle tightening, there are other benefits such as:

  • Reducing chronic pain of muscles and joints
  • Helping blood circulation
  • Protecting the safety of uterus, intestine and other organs
  • Reducing high blood pressure

What is HIFU?

High-intensity Focused Ultrasound, also known as HIFU, is a non-invasive & non-surgical cosmetic skin tightening treatment that uses ultrasound to lift and tighten collagen and elasticity of the skin, for both men and women. HIFU works by heating small targeted amounts of soft tissue below the surface of the skin to a level where the tissue will contract, and the body will create new collagen. To achieve a significant lifting and tightening effect, heat is delivered to specific depths of tissue and this fantastic treatment can accomplish both without causing any injury to the surface of the skin. While HIFU won’t duplicate the results of a facelift, it is a clinically proven alternative for those not ready for surgery and may even be an option for clients who wish to extend the effects of previous cosmetic surgery they have already had.

How is HIFU performed?

During the procedure, your therapist will first start by cleaning the area that is to be treated, followed by the application of a topical numbing cream. You’ll numb for approximately 30 minutes before your procedure. A conductive gel, commonly referred to as ultrasound gel, will then be applied, and your therapist will begin treatment by using a handheld device to deliver the ultrasound over the areas being treated. Depending on the areas being treated, the procedure can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour, excluding the time you are numbing.

Who is a good candidate for HIFU?

HIFU works best on people who are older than 30, with mild-to-moderate skin laxity. People with photodamaged skin or a high degree of loose skin may need several treatments before seeing results. Older people with more extensive photo-aging, severe skin laxity, or very saggy skin on the neck aren’t good candidates and may need surgery. HIFU isn’t recommended for people with infections and open skin lesions at the target area, severe or cystic acne, and metallic implants in the treatment area.

Is HIFU Painful?

Clients should be aware that HIFU is known to cause mild discomfort during treatment. The heat released from HIFU can cause a deep tingling and warming sensation that some clients find to be unpleasant. Bony areas such as the jawline, cheekbone, orbital area, and forehead are known to to be more sensitive than other areas. Some clients respond well to taking Ibuprofen or Tylenol prior to their appointment.

How many HIFU treatments do I need?

A single HIFU treatment usually produces the desired results in the majority of patients, although individual results vary and some may need a touch up treatment. Your therapist will determine the course of treatment that is right for you based on your needs and goals. Some of our clients choose to repeat the procedure after 1 to 2 years to maintain their results.

How will I look and feel after each HIFU treatment?

After your HIFU treatment, It is normal for the area to feel tender, or sore, immediately following the procedure and lasting anywhere from 2-5 days. Results can be seen up to 9 months following the treatment and depends on the variety of various factors including age, health, lifestyle and diet, and how much pre-existing collagen there is to build on when having a procedure for the first time.

What is required prior to HIFU?

No specialized care is required prior to your HIFU treatment. We ask that you drink plenty of water whenever possible, and to wear loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment.

What care is required after HIFU?

After your HIFU treatment, you are free to resume all normal activity. We encourage you to move your body to assist in tissue breakdown and repair. Continue to drink plenty of water, and avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours (longer if possible). We also advise you to avoid exposing your skin to extreme temperatures. We have several teas and creams in the spa available for purchase that will also aid in apoptosis, which will speed up the process and enhance your results.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling has become the new gold standard for skincare treatments. Microneedling is used to treat a wide array of skin concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, scars, pigmentation, skin laxity, and more. The Microneedle device, which consists of several tiny, insulated needles, penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin to create small wounds. This method signals the body to repair the damaged tissue, thus creating more collagen and elastin through natural processes.

How is Microneedling performed?

During the procedure, your therapist will first start by cleaning the area that is to be treated, followed by the application of a topical numbing cream. You’ll numb for approximately 30 minutes before your procedure. Your therapist will then begin the procedure by using the handheld Microneedle device across the area of treatment. Specialized serums or PRP (if purchased separately) may be added to the skin for deeper absorption.

Who is a good candidate for Microneedling?

Microneedling is ideal for someone that wants to improve the appearance of minor skin imperfections such as fine lines and wrinkles, skin laxity, scarring, and uneven skin tone and texture. This technique is also very safe for darker skin tones, unlike other skin rejuvenation techniques. Microneedling is not recommended for those who have active breakouts or pimples, have open wounds or a skin infection, have had radiation treatment within the last year, or have a history of keloid scars.

Is Microneedling Painful?

Most clients find Microneedling to be completely painless with the use of our topical numbing cream. Bony areas may be more sensitive than others, however the entire procedure should be very tolerable, with minimal discomfort.

How many Microneedling treatments do I need?

While everyone is different, most areas require 3 to 6 treatments to obtain the desired results. Areas can be retargeted every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the area and extent of treatment.

How will I look and feel after each Microneedling treatment?

After your Microneedling treatment, you will experience a mild sunburn look and feel for 1-3 hours. Your skin may remain pink for the next day or so, but shouldn’t cause any significant pain or discomfort.

What is required prior to Microneedling?

Prior to your Microneedle treatment, you’ll need to stop using any product that can cause skin sensitivities a minimum of 10 days before your treatment, along with 10 days after (that includes retinol, exfoliants, and acids, like glycolic acid or salicylic acid). We have several products available in spa to purchase that are recommended to use prior to your procedure to help prepare the skin, such as Alastin Regenerating Skin Nectar with TriHex Technology

What care is required after Microneedling?

After your Microneedling treatment you’ll want to make sure your skin is kept clean, hydrated, and protected from the sun with a medical grade SPF at all times. Avoid using any topical products or makeup for the first 24 hours, unless otherwise stated from your therapist. DO NOT pick at any scabs or flaking skin! This can cause severe pigmentation issues. We have several products available in spa to purchase that are recommended to use after your procedure to help promote healing of the skin, such as Alastin Gentle Cleanser, Alastin Hydratint Pro Mineral Sunscreen, Alastin Regenerating Skin Nectar with TriHex Technology, and Alastin Ultra Nourishing Skin Moisturizer.

What is RF Microneedling?

Radio Frequency Microneedling, also known as RF Microneedling, combines the techniques of microneedling with the release of High Intensity Radio Frequency to the targeted area. RF Microneedling is used to treat a wide array of skin concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, scars, pigmentation, skin laxity, and more. The RF Microneedle device, which consists of several tiny, insulated needles, penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin to create small wounds. Once the needles have reached their desired depth, High Intensity Radio Frequency is emitted to heat the surrounding tissues. This method signals the body to repair the damaged tissue, thus creating more collagen and elastin through natural processes. RF Microneedle is often preferred over traditional Microneedle treatments as it is known to cause less damage to the surface of the skin, is more effective in treating a wider range of skincare concerns, and requires less treatments to see optimal results.

How is RF Microneedling performed?

During the procedure, your therapist will first start by cleaning the area that is to be treated, followed by the application of a topical numbing cream. You’ll numb for approximately 30 minutes before your procedure. Your therapist will then begin the procedure by using the handheld RF Microneedle device across the area of treatment. Specialized serums or PRP (if purchased separately) may be added to the skin for deeper absorption.

RF Microneedling is ideal for someone that wants to improve the appearance of minor skin imperfections such as fine lines and wrinkles, skin laxity, scarring, and uneven skin tone and texture. This technique is also very safe for darker skin tones, unlike other skin rejuvenation techniques. RF Microneedling is not recommended for those who have used Accutane within six months, have active breakouts or pimples, have open wounds or a skin infection, have had radiation treatment within the last year, are pregnant, or have a history of keloid scars.

Is RF Microneedling Painful?

While the topical numbing cream does a great job at minimizing discomfort from the needles, mild discomfort may still be felt when the High Intensity Radio Frequency is emitted. This is because the topical numbing doesn’t absorb deep enough into the dermis where the RF is released. It can be a bit uncomfortable, however it should not be overly painful. Some clients respond well to taking ibuprofen or tylenol prior to their appointment.

How many RF Microneedling treatments do I need?

While everyone is different, most areas only require one treatment to see the desired results, however some clients may need a repeat session depending on the areas being treated and the extent of treatment needed.

How will I look and feel after each RF Microneedling treatment?

After your RF Microneedling treatment, you will experience a mild sunburn look and feel for 1-3 hours. Your skin may remain pink for the next day or so, but shouldn’t cause any significant pain or discomfort. You may also have faint “track” marks where the RF Microneedle device was used, but this should fade over time quickly.

What is required prior to RF Microneedling?

Prior to your RF Microneedle treatment, you’ll need to stop using any product that can cause skin sensitivities a minimum of 10 days before your treatment, along with 10 days after (that includes retinol, exfoliants, and acids, like glycolic acid or salicylic acid). What is Endospheres Compressive Micro Vibration?

Endospheres Compressive Micro Vibration is a non-invasive mechanical compression micro-vibration + infrared treatment. The principle is to generate compression micro-vibration by a rolling silicone ball. As the ball rotates and exerts pressure on the skin, it produces a “pulsating compression” effect, which reciprocates the motion of continuous pushing, pulling and kneading. The tissue will experience some pressure and lifting action. Its principal  action is to release infrared rays while pressure is applied to the tissues to stretch the cells naturally and deeply stimulating cell activity, blood flow and oxygenation. So fat deposits are pressurized and then loosened for final decomposition, reducing and removing cellulite.   Endospheres Compressive Micro Vibration, exerts pressure on deep muscle groups to fully soften and stretch, thereby reducing muscle stiffness and soreness, accelerating metabolism, eliminating stagnation and fluid accumulation, conditioning tissues and re-tightening skin tissues, reshaping your body . It can also stimulate fibroblasts, increase the production of collagen, elastin, increase blood flow and increase oxygen. As a result, wrinkles are smoothed, puffiness and bags under the eyes are reduced, and the skin rejuvenated and tightened. This technology has been clinically proven to help tone muscles and sculpt the body, chest and face.

Is Endospheres Compressive Micro Vibration painful?

You may have some minor discomfort, like a slightly deeper tissue massage,  but you should not be in pain. With that being said it will also depend on your pain threshold.

How long do the results last?

The results should be seen from the very first session, but will also depend on the starting point. The facial treatment portion can last up to six months

Does Endospheres Compressive Micro Vibration work on cellulite?

Cellulite is brought on by poor circulation to an area, Endospheres Compressive Micro Vibration reduces cellulite by improving local blood circulation and smoothing the tissue of the problem area

How do I prepare for this service?
