Reflexology

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a technique that can have a positive effect on almost any issue in the body by applying alternating pressure to the feet, hands and ears. By using one of these techniques, or combination of them, I help your body relax to the point when it starts healing itself and getting back into balance.

“The human body is a wonderful, amazing thing. It was created with “pressure maps” on the feet, hands, and ears that mimic the shape of the whole body. Touching and applying pressure to these areas can result in health benefits in the related parts of the body. Reflexology can lower stress, enhance relaxation, provide relief from pain, discomfort or other issues throughout the rest of your body, and relief of myriad ailments – all by simply applying pressure to reflex points. Reflexology is not a massage, not acupressure, and acupuncture.” (Bill Flocco, Founder / Director of American Academy of Reflexology)

About Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis originally was founded by Robert St. John in late 1950th. Metamorphosis is a hands-on healing technique that realizes the importance of the gestation period and the stress patterns brought during conception. By receiving metamorphosis you are able to let go of negative patterns, blockages and attitudes for living fully and joyfully in the present. During metamorphosis session, our reflexologist uses reflex points to address the unconscious patterns of tension that arrive at conception that creates conflict, disease and disharmony in our lives and in our collective experience. As these patterns let go we experience greater awareness, better health, genuine relationships and less conflict in life. As we change, the world around us changes. Everyone will benefit.

About Hand Reflexology

Reflexologists believe that there’s a “map” of the human body on our hands. Every part of the body, including your organs, is matched by a corresponding reflex point on your hands. Applying pressure to the reflex points on your hands stimulates nerve impulses that travel to the corresponding body area. These impulses produce a relaxation response. As muscles relax, blood vessels open, increasing circulation, which increases the amount of available oxygen and nutrients that get to cells in that part of the body. Although the scientific evidence for reflexology is very limited, some people have found relief with these techniques.

About Reiki

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy”.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

About Chakra Balancing

Chakras are energy centers in the human body. Chakras are located deep within the center of the physical body next to a hormonal gland along the spinal column. Chakras draw in the divine life-force energy from the universe and distribute this vital energy to all the organs throughout the body and bloodstream specific to obtaining optimum health and well being. When our chakras are balanced, maximum vitality and health is experienced. Physical or emotional trauma will affect the corresponding chakra. Balancing can be accomplished in a number of ways, for example, through the healing arts, guided meditation, or the use of energy manipulation in the auric fields. Chakra Balancing technique helps create the state of wellbeing. I use therapeutic grade essential oils to help balance your chakras so your body acquires the power to heal itself.

Reflexology Lymph Drainage

The lymphatic system is an essential part of the body as it plays a vital role in the prevention of illness and the body’s ability to heal and be well. Lymph comes from blood plasma.  It travels through capillaries into tissue spaces.  Some of this lymph is taken back into the circulatory system, but 3-4 litres of it is drained away by the vessels of the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system creates white blood cells and antibodies to fight infection.  It prevents build up of fluid in the limbs by returning it to the circulatory system.  It also filters cell waste by pushing it through the lymph nodes.  This mixture creates a toxic environment that can lead to infection, aches and pains, fatigue, fluid retention and much more.  Many conditions can be related to poor lymphatic circulation. Recent research has shown that specific reflexology techniques can reduce this type of swelling, whether is is due to a naturally sluggish lymphatic system or because of cancer and surgery on the lymph nodes.
